Babeș-Bolyai University

The ISD 2022 Conference will be hosted by Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB). Our University is the largest in the country - every year almost 50000 students are attending various specialisations in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, as well as Doctoral studies. Our University promotes and sustains the development of multiculturality and our students or international students may enrol in programmes held in numerous languages, the dominant being Romanian, Hungarian, German, English, and French.

UBB is also the oldest institution of higher education in Romania, having its origins traced back to 1581. It was named after two prominent Transylvanian scientists: the Romanian biologist Victor Babeș and the Hungarian mathematician Janos Bolyai.

UBB occupies the first position among the Romanian universities in the major international rankings of universities.

The ISD 2022 Conference will he hosted and organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the Business Informatics Research Center, with support from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Conference Venue: FSEGA



The conference venue is the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA), located at 58-60 Teodor Mihali St., 400591 Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

UBB-FSEGA is the largest faculty of UBB and of any Romanian university, more than 8.500 students being enrolled in its Bachelor, Master or PhD programs in an academic year. According to the latest international rankings published by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), Times Higher Education and Tilburg University, UBB-FSEGA is the best Romanian higher education institution in Economics & Business. FSEGA hosts the Business Informatics Research Center, which will be the organization team of ISD 2022, with support from the members of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

About Cluj-Napoca

Cluj-Napoca is the unofficial capital of Transylvania, located in the heart of a region known for well preserved medieval villages recognised by Unesco.
